Are you tired of hiding your smile?
Are you tired of hiding your smile, covering your mouth with your hands or even adjusting the way you speak just to hide your teeth?
Lumineers® is a well known brank of veneers that are a simple, pain-free way to restore your smile and your confidence.
Nothing to fear | Minimal tooth sensitivity | A very secure bond is created
Unlike dental implants or all-on-4 dentures, lumineer veeners are non-invasive and can provide a total smile makeover. Many people spend years covering up their teeth before realising that they do not have to live with an imperfect smile.
As we age, many factors can affect our once pearly whites.
Discolouration from years of drinking coffee or smoking and small chips or imperfections on our teeth can make them appear unhealthy. However, lumineer veneers offer a comfortable, long-lasting solution.
What is the difference between Lumineers® and dentures?
The crucial difference between lumineer veneers and dentures is that dentures are designed to replace missing teeth.
Dentures could be singular to replace one missing tooth or you could have multiple dentures to replace several teeth or even a row of teeth (known as All-on-4 dentures).
Lumineer veneers are designed to improve the appearance of your smile and are purely cosmetic.
Unlike traditional veneers, Lumineers® are very thin (around 0.2mm) and they have a translucent effect, replicating the appearance of natural tooth enamel. See Stories | What People Experience | Lumineers
Are Lumineers® right for me?
If your teeth have discolouration, slight gaps or chips, lumineer veneers can give you a brand new smile.
They are particularly suited to those who do not want invasive dental treatment, as there is no grinding or reshaping required. Lumineers also give you the freedom to choose the right shade and brightness of your new smile.
How are they applied?
Lumineers are bespoke veneers that do not require any anaesthetic to be fitted. Instead, they are fitted using an adhesive which is applied to the front surface of your teeth.
The procedure is quick and pain-free.
Initially your dentist will make a mould or impression of your teeth so that your new, bespoke smile can be crafted. This is a simple process. You will have the final say on shape, shade and colour.
Why choose Lumineers® and not porcelain veneers?
While both lumineer veneers and traditional porcelain veneers improve your smile, lumineers are generally more suited to those who do not want an invasive procedure.
Porcelain veneers require some removal or reshaping of the original tooth or teeth to limit any bulkiness which may occur as a result of adding the veneer.
This process can also leave teeth vulnerable due to the loss of enamel.
Lumineers® provide the same function, but the original tooth is left unchanged and the enamel intact.
Porcelain veneers generally last longer, however, lumineers are still long-lasting and do not affect the original tooth or teeth.
